Our Livestock Guardian Dogs
In 2012, we purchased our first Kangal from Shadow Wings Farm in Georgia. These guardian dogs, from the country of Turkey, have proven genetics and characteristics that we have found to be unsurpassed. Kaleb, now ten years old, has proven to be one of our most valuable farm assets. At well over 150 pounds, he is known and respected by all our neighbors and farm visitors. Without him, our animals would be vulnerable to predators and not free to roam and forage.
In 2022, we decided to purchase a breeding pair of Kangals. Each pup, Moshe and Etana, have parents that are direct descendants from Turkey. Once on the farm, they quickly acclimated and have become a part of our family. We look forward to seeing them develop and protect our farm as well as offering quality dogs to farms that would benefit from a Kangal as much as we have.
